Bryan Harris:
  • Bryan Harris, Ed.D. has been an educator for over 25 years. He has served as a classroom teacher, an elementary school principal, and a district level director. Now working full time as an author, speaker, and consultant he has trained over 18,000 educators in powerful and effective strategies that increase student engagement and achievement. He is known for his engaging trainings and presentations that demonstrate relevant and practical strategies. He is the author of 5 books including the popular 2010 book Battling Boredom.
Academic Background:
  • Bryan completed both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in education from Northern Arizona University. In 2013, he completed a doctoral degree in educational administration from Bethel University after studying factors that influence new teacher retention. In addition, for over 15 years, has maintained a certification in brain-based learning from Jensen Learning Corporation. In addition to his work with educators across the country, Dr. Harris teaches undergraduate and graduate courses for Grand Canyon University and Arizona Christian University. 
Teaching & Leadership Experience:
  • Bryan began his educational career teaching language arts and social studies at the middle school level. After several years in the classroom he began a journey into educational leadership and administration. That journey involved serving as a middle school dean of students, a district-level instructional coach, an elementary school principal, and over 10 years as a district-level director of professional development.

  • Over the past 15 years, Dr. Harris has trained over 18,000 educators in over 30 states. His clients include school districts, non-profit organizations, and businesses. His trainings are popular because they focus on practical strategies that address real-world challenges. His sessions are so powerful and impactful that nearly half of his clients contract with him for a return engagement.   • Bryan has authored 5 books on the topics of student engagement, classroom management, and new teacher retention. His books focus on practical solutions and ready-to-use strategies that are teacher-friendly, effective, and easy to implement. His most popular books – Battling Boredom and Battling Boredom Part 2 - have received rave reviews for their practical and effective strategies. Some of Bryan’s most popular keynotes and training sessions are based on his Battling Boredom series.
